legless lizards are cute little snakes that yes are actuelly closer to a lizard as it is to a snake why are they called legless lizard instead of a snake is because of three major things first they have eyelids they also have ear ducts and they do not have a forked tounge if i remember right they come from a sandy dry region and they burrow through the sand i assume being legless they can kinda swim through the sand
i personally am not a lizard fan but deal exstensivly with snakes this is just one that never struck me as a must have animal hope i helped

Sticking on your request i might say get a leopard gecko, they are extremely friendly and get approximately 7-9 inches (women folk) and eight-10inches (men),And one leopard gecko will do large in a 10 gallon and a pair of will do good for a 20gallon.the only component is that it relatively won't be able to loose roam being it is so small.you notice with smaller lizard loose roaming is a huge hazard they might wander away relatively rapid or relatively consume some thing which will show to be volatile So my 2d suggestion may well be a bearded Dragon, bearded dragons get approximately 24" inches besides the shown fact that for the duration of particular cases some have reached 30" yet it is uncommon. So 24" is in fact what they get.they are very docile and make large beginner reptiles and that they might relatively loose roam on a similar time as being watched.the component is you'll want a minimum of a 40gallon breeder (it is easily the minimum) for those adult men so good success!~

the difference between a lizard and a snake is that snakes don't have eyelids and legs. And lizards do have eyelids and legs,Also there are more venomous snakes than lizards the only two venomous lizards are the beaded lizard and the gila monster.but there are more lizard species than snake species.
