Your cycle might change due to hormones, stress & weight loss etc. If your pain doesn't diminish & gets worse be sure to call your doc. ASAP, it could be something else.
Do you any a fever? Do you have any other unusual symptoms?

My guess would be that you are ovulating! I am very regular...so I can almost pinpoint the exact time that I am ovulating give or take a couple of days! I can feel it more than anything else! I gain water weight and I cramp as much or more than when I'm on my period! If you remember the first day of your period...just count forward 14 days and see if it is close to today! If it is then that is probably what it is. Or does it have anything to do with your Dr. visit today? That might be something to consider too! Anyway, Ibuprofen usually does the trick for me...or try whatever you know won't upset your tummy! If you don't think it is either one of these, don't hesitate to call the doctor...I'm sure they can give you a better idea of what it might be! Hope you feel better real soon!

It could be a number of things. Keep in mind that sometimes a woman's cycle resets itself, so you may be close to your period again, anyway. It wouldn't hurt to be prepared! lol
Otherwise, if the pain becomes severe, don't hesitate to call a doctor. Gall bladder or appendix issues need to be treated as soon as possible.
Try out the website, webmd.com. It has a symptom checker, so you can be more specific about what may be going on. It helps to get an idea of what to ask your doctor about!!

It does sound hormone related. Have you had a pap smear and your hormones checked out recently? I would if I were you, especially if you plan on having children someday - you want to stay well.
