The Omen (the original; I haven't seen the remake)
Friday the 13th Part 1&2, the rest pretty much suck
A Nightmare on Elm Street
I also enjoy the Hammer films (Horror of Dracula, The Mummy, etc..) with Christopher Lee & Peter Cushing, but those come across as kind of cheesy today.

There are couple of scary movies which I would suggest you and those are really scary ones ever and a must watch.
1. Grudge
2. Ring (Part I & II)
3. The Amityville Horror
4. The Exorcism of Emily Rose
5. Dark Water

Well it's not scary but it is pretty gory....
It's my favorite movie eva!
The Devil's Rejects.
It Is The Best!!!
But scary so that you get scared and jump and all that...I'd have to say...
Well Penny Dreadful made my sisters jump and there was some pretty alarming parts...lol...
So I'd have to say if you wanna be a little grossed out The Devils Rejects or House Of 1,000 Corpses(Part one to the Devils Rejects...)...(you dont have to see that one to understand the devils rejects tho)...
And to get scared and jump and all Penny Dreadful...

The Shining. Directed by Stanley Kubrick, starring Jack Nicholson, story by Steven King and watched on the big screen in a theatre next to best looking guy I ever went out with, can't beat that.

Those Saw movies are gross and disgusting scary...but for like psychologically scary I think the Exorcist.
