Well I know the Angels are not really LA but what do you think the odds of this happening ? Both teams are frontrunners in their division and both are up there in MLB.I can almost bet my soul the Angels would win though. We are 5-1 against them this year.

The world series will be between the Mets and Red Sox.

I'd be careful about your predictions there based on regular season meetings. The Cardinals traveled to Detroit for interleague play last season and got swept by the Tigers. The same team that beat Detroit in the world series.

The 1988 New York Mets where 10-1 against the LA Dodgers. The two teams met in the NLCS, the Dodgers won.

Both scenarios fall under a phrase that I like to use for baseball which is 'past result isn't always indicative of future outcome.'

I think both teams have good odds to make the playoffs, but the Angels have Seattle breathing down their necks. They just keep winning ballgames with a closer JJ Putz who gets a ton of save opportunities and has yet to even blow a save. I'm so sure the Angels win their division without a fight.

My origional early season prediction that I'm still riding out is Twins vs. Mets in the world series, all though watching Detroit play recently rolling into the second half, my gut feeling says my prediction for the AL in that case may be wrong.

I think if the Mets get on track, they will play with a chip on their shoulder, as long as the pitching holds strong in the post season for them (provided they get there), I don't think So Cal with either SD or LA is represented for the NL in the fall classic, I think it's NY.

Odds are 100000000000000000000000000-1 since the World Series is going to be the Milwaukee Brewers beating the Seattle Mariners in 6 games

There is a better chance than a NY and NY world series but still a long shot. I was born in the LA area and have been out of the state for many years but I would love to see both LA area teams in the world series.

Not likely. The dodgers are a second half flop waiting to happen. Besides the Sox will rap up the american league. The RED SOX that is!! GO RED SOX!!!

It's a very real possibility. However, I'm sticking with a Mets-Red Sox Series.

The odds?

Slim to none, and slim just left town.

No doubt each MIGHT make the play-offs, but niether one makes it past the 1st round.
