If it does, how will it rip us?

There is a blackhole in the center of the Milky Way galaxy (our galaxy) which is having a gravitional pull on us and slowly pulling us in but we are currently a couple billion light years from the center, so it will be awhile. I think a more imminent fear would be our sun burning all its fuel and expanding into a red giant scortching the earth before possibly turning into a black hole but I don't think that our star is massive enough. Hopefully by that point humans are still in existance and figured out an alternative place to call home. Here's to not killing ourselves!

There is no known black hole coming towards the Earth.

The closest known black hole is about 3500 light years from us (and as far as we know its not moving this way).
So I'm wondering where you heard that a black hole is coming towards us - I read all the astronomical magazines and news sources and haven't seen that. But then I read the entire article to get all the facts.

Yes a Black hole is moving toward us, but not to worry, it will be many billons of years befor it gets here. I think it is 1600 lightyears away and moving at 1/6 the or so speed of light, you do the math

Well, this won't be the first time. There was a Black Hole in Calcutta, India in 1756. 123 people perished due to suffocation. Google "Black Hole of Calcutta" for more information.

Are you trying to scare me? Because if you're not, you're doing a good job of it.

P.S. Last I checked, everything in the universe was moving away from everything else at an ever-increasing speed. So stop all this "black hole" jibber jabber and eat your peas.

good which you have an interest in black holes, so as which you particularly want to understand what it particularly is want to be interior the place and "interior" the Schwarzchild radius of the black hollow. it is not stupid to inquire with regard to the "situations" in such severe places, even inspite of the undeniable fact that your actual physique will already be long shredded into atoms earlier you even have been given close to to the progression horizon, that's the Schwarzchild radius, of a genuine black hollow. the progression horizon isn't a actual boundary, yet in simple terms a "factor of no return", marking the radius the place even easy can not get away from it. issues will fall "by way of the progression horizon" unimpeded. by using fact easy rays are so warped interior the place, the seen appearances would be extraordinary. while you're spiralling in the direction of the progression horizon, it particularly is going to look like the black hollow is a limiteless, flat wall, whilst each and all the celebs of the universe would be seen on the different part. by using fact the black hollow is extremely probable to be spinning, count number and methods interior the place of the black hollow might have a complicated shape, composed of a spinning disk feeding count number into the black hollow, basically to have lots of it ejected right now outwards from the poles of the spinning black hollow in super plumes. each and every shade of the electromagnetic spectrum might nicely be estimated in this wild and incredibly livid instruct, and temperatures might nicely be estimated to be interior the billions of tiers. it quite is all earlier you even bypass by way of the progression horizon! as quickly as you enter, then you definitely've particularly undergone the looking Glass, and the very dimensions of time and area will look to have reversed roles, the place time has grow to be area with static places, and area has grow to be time which flows, so as that as one hurtles in the direction of the suited singularity, it would be like waiting for the tip of the universe.
