The Dodgers look pretty solid right now and I think the Padres need to start getting desperate. Even the WC is pretty tight. Do you think they will make a push for maybe Adam Dunn or who do you think would suit them better?

I agree with you that they need another big bat to secure a spot in the playoffs. Dunn is still an option but I think Jermaine Dye is a more likely candidate. Dunn is the better player, and the Padres have a couple young pitchers that they can deal. They nearly landed Jacque Jones about a month ago but now with Jones swinging a better bat and the Cubs back in contention they likely won't deal Jones to another wild card contender. Dunn and Dye are your best bets. Both are left fielders with some big league power and both would fill that void in the Padres lineup.

I think they could still win the division even without another big bat. As said above Jermaine Dye is the likely candidate. He could probably start over Bradley or Giles depending on who's struggling( I don't follow the Pad's all the close). I believe the Pads will make it to the NLCS with their 3rd straight division crown.

They will have to if they want to win. However, Nobody scores a lot of runs in San Diego and they are able to win a lot of 3-2 games. Their pitching might just get them where they want to be without landing a big name position player.

What about Milton Bradley? Although it wasn't a big move, it was definitely a risky one, which has payed off in my opinion. I would bet that they will make moves at the end of the season.
