In the front you can run amber lenses and white bulbs, or you could run clear/white lenses and amber bulbs.
In the rear in the US you can have amber or red lenses. In Europe they all have to have amber rear turn signals.

All parking & Signal lights in the front of the Vehicles & Front Sides must be Amber coloured, the rear & the rear sides Parking & Stop (brake) Lights Must be red coloured.You have an option of the rear,& rear sides for turn signal lights to be Amber OR Red.

It's actually amber, the same colour as when the light go from green to amber than red. It's a warning signal that catches the drivers attention.l

Mine are red because they are the same as my brake lights. The Pontiac Grand Am around 2000 had red turn lights. If you put Altezzas on your car, even if you had orange before, they are now red.

No, depends on your state requirements in the USA. Most are red in the rear , some orange/ yellow and since 1966, yellow up front.
