I would rather read the book. I made the mistake of watching a movie based off the book Clear and Present Danger by Tom Clancy. The book was way better!

I would much rather read the book. I've found out long ago never to see a movie right after reading the book of the same title, especially a Stephen King book/movie.

The book is always better. The movies are usually a let down, but I've actually seen a few that were really close to the book.

Book, of coarse. But since I don't read the Harry Potter books, I do enjoy the movies, then I ask my friends about what I don't understand in the movie.

Yes, reading the book and then never watching the movie works best for me; the movie always ruins the pictures I already had in my mind; And, they can never fit enough information in such a short amount of time.
