The words "civilized" and "black" should not be used in the same sentence.

What has that have to do with America? We are not like any other country in the world, so why should race matter to us? A black has just as much right to become President as anyone else. Just because you are white, doesn't mean that your people have been here any longer than some of his family. He is part white, you know, & there have been blacks in this country, free men, for as long as there have been whites. Lets not play the race card. It depends on whether he is qualified, & I feel that he has the qualifications to become President, if he gets the nomination & if he wins the election.

There isn't one. But what has that to do with who we select as our president. You underlying implication is the US President has to be a white guy.
There are two countries that must be considered First World Countries who do not have white leaders. Japan and China.
As an AMERICAN of German-Swedish ancestry somewhat knowledgable on the US Constitution, if you read it closely you would find there never has been a time when race or gender was a qualifying or disqualifying factor for President according to the US Constitution. It wasn't very likely a black man or a woman would have been elected President. BUT it wasn't prohibited either.
So take your racist ideas somewhere else.

Nelson Mandela seemed a lot more civilized than those white men that locked him up for 27 years he even forgave them.
I know exactly where Mandela came from but the point is by time he became a leader a lot more than 3000 of his people were brutally murdered and he didn't invaded someone else country and hang their leader who they put in power in the first place you call that civilized.
He actually acted like a real leader and formed a peace and reconciliation process now that is civilized.

Beeg Juan...you asked to name countries run by competent conservative presents. Here they are in no particular order. This is obviously not a complete list, just the ones of the top of my head.
Canada - Stephen Harper
Germany - Horst Kohler
Mexico - Felipe Calderón
France - Nicolas Sarkozy
Poland - Lech Aleksander KaczyÅski
United Kingdom - Gordon Brown
United States of America - George W. Bush
*EDIT*
And your question is disgusting. I don't like Obama either but not for the same reasons as you.

One of the best U.S.'s presidents was crippled. Yet today, knowing the world as it is, prolly would never get the nomination. Should the US be deprived of its great presidents because they were born different?
The U.S. shouldn't have T.V.'s in politics, just newspapper, and Radio. If you couldn't see Barack Obama(sp), would you vote for him then? Its not about the color of one man's skin cause outside of this country, no one cares at all. No one thinks twice of skin color, or religion.

His race has nothing to do with it. And there have been some black presidents who have tried their best to strengthen their country, and have been thrown in prison or killed. Very heroic I should think.
Now...Rice would be a nice addition to the frontrunners. I'd vote for her.
