i have recently notice three anemone's that i have identified as problem anemone's that were in the live rock. i was wondering if it was able to be removed simply with tweezers or if i had to inject them to kill them off.

A simple method that safe for your fish and other inverts is to add a peppermint shrimp or two. If what you have is the Aiptasia, they'll eat them. I've always ahd peppermint shimp in my saltwater tanks, and they do work.

Here's a review of various methods (chemical and predator) used to control anemones: http://www.wetwebmedia.com/ca/cav1i3/aiptasia_impressions/aiptaisia_impressions.htm

ADDITION: How long have you had your shrimp? I find that they hide for the first week, and just eat the leavings from the fish, but the anemones start to disappear sometime the second week as the shrimp become "braver" and come out more. You might want to cut back on feeding a little so they'll be more encouraged to eat the anemones, although I've seen them eating them even when I was target feeding them with brine shrimp (although these were shrimp that had been in the tank for a while, I just added some new live rock I wanted cleaned).

Super saline solution is also good to inject them with. They actually melt away before your eyes.

this stuff called Joe's Juice or kalkwasser injected into them, or you could use boiling water. i like the kalkwasser cause it just adds a little calcium to the tank.
