after hearing both sides to the barry bonds story. does anyone care about the negative image it portrays to todays youth? when i was a kid my dad would take me to the old comiskey park to watch the white sox play. the pitchers and catchers would walk to the bullpen under the bleachers, i would allways try to get autographs, and even if it was a no name player it was a big thing to me. my point is kids look up to baseball players as role models even if bonds never admits it, everyone knows he used steroids. think how bad of an influence this is on todays youth. agree or disagree?

You know, it all depends on the person.

I mean some people right now says "Oh he used steroids he sucks, He needs pills and drugs to do good"

Some will says right now "Even though he used steroids for years, That wears a body down but look at his numbers still, Look at his batting average, Look at his earlier years on how he his 35-45 home runs a years and stole 20-30 bases a year."

But I everyone will admit, in 20-40years from now, Not many people will bring up he used steroids, And when they do, Not many people will even care.

Like i said, It all depends on how the mom or dad betrays the the player. If the parents like the player, then so will the kid, if the parents hate the player, so will the kid.

There is 1 thing no one if talking about. How does anyone know that steroids were not being used to brake those old records? I mean they didnt have testing back then like they do now.

In my opinon, I think players should interact with fans alittle more, Even if they did use steroids, Make the fans seem like they are part of the game. You know how you said,

"when i was a kid my dad would take me to the old comiskey park, the pitchers and catchers would walk to the bullpen under the bleachers, i would allways try to get autographs, and even if it was a no name player it was a big thing to me"

That still applys today. Even if they are no namers, That makes people still feel like they are part of something. But now adays, players get payed to much and they are whining millionars always looking for the big money and yet still some go broke. What happen to the good old days??

Sorry for the long writing but thats my opinon

With or without steroids, Bonds is has always been a bad influence.

I can appreciate his accomplishments, but I see him as selfish person both on and off the field. He cares little for other players, fans or the media. This has been his MO for years.

No he didn't use steroids and everybody with a brain knows steroids only destroy your body. HGH more than likely, steroids, hardly! Get your facts straight. Barry is 42 and if he was taking steroids do you think he would be playing? Canseco isn't playing because he is a roid monkey.

It's up to the parents to teach their kids, not Barry!

i'm uncertain, yet you may continuously purchase a Beckett magazine. Oh by making use of the way, in reaction on your reaction of sarcasm to an answer above me, in case you do in contrast to a pair stuff anybody is asserting to you, then exchange your photograph. you recognize damn nicely once you place out a photo like that for hundreds of thousands of individuals to be certain on line somebody is going to assert some thing.
