Not exactly what you have in mind - but I'd go back to a time in 1983. My son was born in November of that year with a birth defect - I'd go back and change whatever caused that to happen.

I would go back to the time prior to mobile phones and the internet. When life was simple, we did not feel so harassed, we could really forget about assignments or work when we go on holidays, when we would go to the library for research.
I figure I would be writing letters instead of emails or text messages, and friends will not be the anonymous aliases on Yahoo or Friendster.
The very young will not even have a clue of how it is to live on earth without mobile phones and the internet. It will be such thrill for them to experience this time capsule as well.

I would go back to a time period with princes and castles, awesome dresses and dances to go to. Granted, I would have to make sure I was in the upper class range. But life would be simpler - just survival.

I'd go back to my high school graduation present. I spent 5 weeks in Europe. But this time, I would have someone go with me. Sure it was fun to see my brother and his family but someone my own age would have been more fun.

I'd go back to my trip with my school to New York City back in March. I just fell in love with the big city life.

After researching winning lottery numbers, I would go back to March 1983, hit the lottery, and invest every penny to Microsoft stock. OK... maybe not EVERY penny!

I'd go back in my past to fix a mistake I made that screwed up mine, and a lot of other peoples lives.

I would go back and save Princess Diana, I would of prevented her driver from drinking and made sure her seat belt was on. It hasn't been the same without her.
