sometimes my screen cuts out and then on my toolbar a pop up says "Display driver igfx stopped responding and has successfully recovered"

whats goin on, is the only thing i can do bring it back to best buy?

i want playing a game, i was just doing things like going on the internet, once it happened after i exited the internet right before i shut off my computer

i have a 30 day replacement guarintee so if they cant fix it i get a new computer, im taking it in tomorrow

dont use windows to update your driver there driver update doesnt work,do it manually yourself,go look for a newer driver by simply putting EG:ati radeon 4400 latest display driver etc into google or tell us what driver it is and im sure well find you a newer one.WINDOWS DRIVER UPDATE DOESNT WORK NEVER HAS> please tell us the driver your after you may not need to take it back. ok ill find you the latest driver can you please goto this page and tell me if its the exact same problem your having thanks http://www.itwriting.com/blog/?p=110 heres the latest drivers http://www.opendrivers.com/categorycompany/12/172/display-and-video-intel-free-driver-download.html

Symptom(s):

Error message: "Display driver igfx stopped responding and has successfully recovered"
Intermittent black screen appears for few seconds

Solution:
If it happens whilst playing a game i would go and
Apply the latest patches available from the game manufacturer and install PV15.1 (Build 1187) or later graphics driver to correct this issue. Contact the game manufacturer † for further instructions or support in applying patches. Contact your computer manufacturer to obtain the latest graphics drivers or download the latest reference graphics drivers from the Intel Download Center.

Get the latest video driver off the computer manufacturer's web site.


You may want to consider getting a separate video card. 945G chips are not very good. Even a low end N-Vidia or ATI chipset is way better.

If you are going to play graphics intensive games then getting a mid level (or even high end if you have the $$$) graphics card is going to give you the best performance improvement for you dollar.

try and upgrade your video driver. find out the type of video driver you have and go on the website and upgrade it. that's the best thing you can do, right click my computer, go to properties. click the hardware tab and then go to device manager. find the video driver and right click it and go to update. you can always find out what driver it is and go into google and update it.
