Wear the type of clothing someone working at Old Navy would be expected to wear, just a tad nicer. And don't advertise other jeans stores--no AE or hollister on the front of your t-shirt. Gap's okay--they're the same company, Banana, too.
Look well-groomed, fresh breath, on time. Meet the manager's eye immediately and stretch out your hand for a handshake. Introduce yourself and hand them a copy of your resume or application. Be very friendly--personable. Smile. Clean language.
You want to know if they get commission? I don't think so. But they do make 8-10 an hour, last I heard.
Good luck!
