Yep. That is why they invented firewalls and anti-virus software.

Yes but thats not what they would want to do

they would much rather get your Credit Card Info
PAYPAL account info
and any other accounts that have a cash value if abused

They sure can especially if you are not behind a Firewall and are not using some sort of Intenet Security Suite.
