It is called spell check, but then the spell check program would not catch that since spelling is a word.
I think there is a lot of misspelling because a lot of folks aren't real good typists, and a lot of the most recent generations are used to talking on line with abbreviations, etc.

It's called 'check spelling' and many people are thinking more about their question and are simply typing too fast, or are using 'internet text slang' and they do want answers, and fast so they hit the 'submit' button sooner than someone who 'knows' how truly FAST the Internet is, and take the time to write their questions correctly. GIVE THEM A BREAK. I've got an advanced degree, and I still sometimes 'forget' to use the 'check spelling' before I hit submit ...we are all JUST HUMAN, after all.

No one has picked up on the fact that your sentence contains a mispelled word...........it is NOT miSSpell, there's only one s
All of you must now stand in a corner for 10 minutes for missing this.........it jumped off the page at me.
The Asker must give me the 10 points for finding this or suffer the YA curse...........
There's an old idiom which says:
You can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink
In our efforts to improve ourselves, we often set in motion the kinds of aids such as the subject you've asked about. But in doing so, are we really helping? Or have we taken yet another step toward validating carelessness and making it that much more acceptable to stop learning? When we rely on 'tools' to simplify what we failed to learn before, what we're really doing is saying, it's okay, be lazy, don't learn.
Just a further slide down the slippery slope. Nearly half of the students in the USA are not finishing high school. Why bother? All of the answers to life can be Googled just like much of the information on Yahoo Answers.
And for those who do complete high school and college, they're heavily in debt.............so have we helped them?

look, some of us just don't have the patience for it, 'cause if we misspell something 'cause we're typing too fast and it's not that bad, we just leave it. most people are at lest inteligett enoghu ot figrue ti uot, unscramble a few letters. or if we have to answer a question that's going to be resolved in a couple of minutes.

It is amazing! Are people getting lazy or do they just not care? Spell check is a great tool, if it's used.

I think they just get impatient, forget or don't know about it. I agree. Doesn't look very good for them
