I used to be a pre-school teacher and I can say that every little boy who was a complete terror was named Nicolas/Nicky/Nick, Elliott, or Tyler. I have good memories of a sweet boy named James (not Jim or Jimmy). I also personally like Henry.

i always considered Johnny to be a bad boy/rebel name, like Johnny Depp, Johnny Bender from The Breakfast Club, Johnny The Homocidal Maniac (weird Hot Topic Comic), etc.

If I was a boy, my name was going to be Rex (My dad raced motocycles and thought it would sound fast over the loudspeaker). To me Rex seems like a bad boy, somebody who wears aviators 24 hours a day and waves by holding his hands like pistols and pointing them at you.

You don't want TOO much a bad boy name. Don't want him to sound like he's doomed for trouble.
I've always liked Dylan, Shane, and Clint. They sound masculine to me but not like they should be in a prison cell.

Colton, Jackson, Elias, Penn, sometimes initial names sound somewhat tough or cool like R.J. or something.
