i pass via what they have carried out so a procedures this 12 months.... a million. Justin Verlander - spectacular poise for a rookie who performs interior the comparable branch as Chicago, Minnesota, and Cleveland, who all have great offenses. 2. Johan Santana - maximum interesting pitcher to visual demonstrate unit in MLB immediately. jogs my memory of Pedro Martinez of 1999, can win or lose a interest all on his very own. 3. Fransisco Liriano - See comments for Verlander yet Sub Detroit for Minnesota.... (too undesirable he's harm now). 4. Chris chippie - nevertheless dominating. 3.06 era, a million.14 WHIP, .233 combatants BA. 5 (TIE). Jonathan Papelbon - Rookie nearer with an era of 0.sixty 4 and that's August 8th.... wow! 5. Joe Nathan - a million.fifty 3 era, 67K's to in straightforward terms 8 BB's... great Ratio, suitable shutdown nearer in Baseball immediately. 7. Brandon Webb - spectacular stats for a guy who's long previous below the radar in Arizona. one hundred twenty five ok's to 29 BB's, 2.seventy 4 era, a million.14 WHIP, 3 CG's. 8. Carlos Zambrano - .205 Opponent's BA!!!, a million.28 WHIP. i could like to make certain this guy on a extra suited group. 9. Roy Halladay - Amazingly powerful and he's thrown over a hundred and sixty innings. 10. John Lackey - very solid numbers, could be bigger in this record, yet he performs interior the vulnerable offensive AL West. Notoriously Absent yet receiving attention: Chein Ming Wang Mike Mussina Josh Johnson Jeremy Bonderman Mariano RIvera Curt Schilling Josh Beckett Roy Oswalt Scott Kazmir

I'm a Bosox fan, but since a lot of people are, I'll answer for my second favorite team: Tampa Bay Devil Rays.
Scott Kazmir is the best pitcher on the staff and I expect great things out of him. He's only 23 and he has been the ace of that staff for almost 3 years! Yeah he is having a rough season, but remember: he's only 23!

I'm not even a Twin's fan, but there is no question in my mind that the best pitcher currently in baseball is Johan Santana. Watch for a ridiculous second half!
