I am unsure why you would want this as some of it is not safe when it is outdated. There has recently been a few cases of botulism due to outdated chili sauce.
But, if you want this you need to write to each distributor and store manager (you can talk to your local store managers in person) to find out what the poicy is on this. They may need you to fill out paperwork for insurance purposes, may question you as to what you want the food for and what you plan to do with it. A lot of this type of food is given to jails, homeless kitchens and shelters as the expiration date approaches and more of it is given to pig farmers once it is spoiled so they may already have designated places for it to go. But you can ask each one you have in mind, in writing.
Good luck.

As far as I know, food rules and regulations are very strict about this matter. A food provider such as the restaurant industry, groceries and wholesale distributers - will be penalized severely or have licenses revoked if they so much as give away food that falls under the criteria of "not for human consumption- meaning garbage"
They might look the other way if restaurant staff will take home some of todays food, but basically, they cannot donate prepared food even to the food bank unless they are pastries.

now a days nowhere. I work for a distribution center and we pull product 6 months before it outdates(we call it shortdated product) as per the FDA. We have specific dumpsters we have to put them in and they are monitored, However some might slip through but we try not to let it happen. Sorry

If you are hungry and need food or are trying to supply a food help ministry or agency please go to www.secondharvest.com enter your zipcode and get info about foodbanks near you. If you need food for a ministry or agency the foodbank can make it available very cheaply. If you need food for yourselves the foodbank can help you find addresses of food giveaway places near you.
If you are wanting to start a food help program please check out our site www.caringhandsmin.tripod,com and email me if you's like to talk with someone who has been doing this for yrs about other food sources.
There is a better alternative than dumpstering short date foods btw. For that also contact www.secondharvest.com or a foodbank or food ministry near you. If the short date is 60-90 days or more away your co may very well be able to get a tax receipt for its retail value and have it go to a charity that will see that it is used before date.
