their 2007 season is now definately over but its too early to say 2008 is over too.

He should sit out the entire 2008 season as well. Players often do the mistake of coming back too early. In the long run this will help him out. He has been hurting for a while. As strange as it sounds, he was not a big part of last year's winning team.

expect him to be a so-so pitcher in 2009 and he probably will never pitch the same way ever again so the cardinals better get ready to make a trade for some good pitching or get ready for free agency.
