for a wonderful multicultural, safe place, try Montreal or Toronto.
If Canada's impractical, Boston's good. West coast: Seattle, San Fran or San Diego.
Atlanta has its charms, but it doesn't match your secondary question very well.

I don't live there, but have heard that despite being called Sin City, Las Vegas is actually a very nice place to live.
I used to live near Atlanta and really love that city, but I don't know if I would call it a particularly nice place to raise a family.
I think it depends on what type of things you like to do, what type of weather you enjoy, etc.
You might start with this web site, which has what it says are the top 100 places to live in the US.
Good luck. Maybe you'll wind up being my neighbor some day here in VA.

Yeah, incredibly seattle. I stay in NYC now and sense an identical way. Seattle is superb considering which you are able to stay in one family contributors living house, staggering on the edge of the city, have a automobile and nevertheless have the centers of a vast city. Plus Seattle is definitely everyday for that's literacy point and concentration of school knowledgeable voters. low priced, metropolitan yet nevertheless very in touch with mom nature. you will fairly love seattle. in case you want smaller, Portland is a thank you to pass. wish this enables. additionally Boulder Colorado would be a stable decision.

Stay on the east coast. Raleigh or Charlotte are great cities to live. Atlanta, of course, or Charleston.
