General Ralph Eberhart, who was in charge of air defense on 9-11, was the first commander of "Northern Command," the domestic unified military command established in October 2002. If the domestic use of the U.S. military escalates into full-scale martial law, the Northern Command would essentially manage it. If 9/11 had been an "intelligence failure," it is likely that General Eberhart would have been court-martialed instead of promoted.

So why was the guy in charge promoted - It took 80 minutes to scramble jets that day -

In siumlations the same air defence team(s) took out 22 possible but simulated hy jackers in less than 10 minutes simotaeuosly

This guy was on command on 9/11 failed and was promoted

How did that happen ?

On that day - the then Prime Minister Jean Chretian was called by US military officals and told that there were h-jacked planes and they were not sure if they would be headed twords Canadian air space - Chrietian the pacifist who avoided Iraq completely said "If there is a hy jacker you follow them and shoot them down it's ok for you to enter Canadian air space "
He then put Canada's small and stretched airforce into the air (6.5 minutes) and gave permission for all ligitimate US airplanes to land in Newfoundland - (where the people of the Prov went to meet those planes with sandwiches and hot coffee )
The Canadian air force was going to shoot down any and all planes "that day" in 6 minutes of being told - threat -
That happened 16 minutes after the first plane hit the first buildling ...
Your telling me that the Candian armed forces that has little to no budget was in the air and ready to shoot down anything they could not identify while US sat on their hands? No consiracy?

He has not been charged because the evidence against him is flimsy and manufactured. The video was an obvious fake. The former FBI director publicly acknowledged that they did not have evidence to charge him. Remember that over half of the 19 hijackers that allegedly died in the plane crashes have given interviews since 9/11/2001. The list of conspirators has never been corrected. The US Government is well known for baking evidence through commissions. The 9/11 Commission report has holes the size of semi trucks. The failure or collusion of our government has been covered up by a compliant mass media.

On a day of mass confusion scrambling jets was thought of, but no one was sure if they were going to be needed. The first plane that struck the tower many thought was an accident. When the 2nd plane hit the tower we knew something was up. But how many more planes? Which planes were they? No one knew who was a friendly and who was a potential threat. That's why all planes were grounded.

In the circumstances of the day, the people in charge did the best they could for a situation no one had ever thought of happening before.

That is TOP SECRET classified information. You will deiscover the truth when the United States Government sees fit to let it go into the archives around 2110.

The real person in charge of security on that day was Condi Rice, who was then Bush's National Security Advisor.

Only in the Bush administration can you fail miserably, then be promoted.

Bill Clinton would be a better choice for scapegoating 9/11 if that is your thing. His limp wristed response to terrorism emboldened the enemies of the U.S. to try it.

His last promotion was in 1997.

Though, he did continue in substantially the same job until he retired, in 2005.
