Of course i believe no is the answer to this question, but sometimes it's difficult to always keep your frustrations bottled up. Sometimes it feels as though everyone is deliberately trying to get on your last nerve, even when you bend over back wards to do good for them. The reason i do good for people who do nothing but cause me pain is to prove to myself that i haven't been embittered myself. Kind of a messed up existance, and it leaves one open to a lot of bad situations. Psychologists tell me that i should just worry about myself, and that God helps those who help themselves. I thought that was one of the most ignorant statements I've ever heard. I need some advice.

Slander is dishonest and there is nothing wrong with honest criticism. Be a critic. God helps those who help their self to help others; it is a good circle of reasoning. If everyone did the same, we would do a little better, but we all need wisdom to know in what way we need to help our self. Your question is a good right step. Now, the next step is what.

Don't bottle it, burn it. Pump the iron and feel the burn. Translate that negative energy into positive productivity. BE your own producer.

Our emotional wounds only exist when we personalize the words or actions of another.

I tend to disagree. Doing good for those who treat you badly is not a good use of energy. There are so many others who will not treat you badly to spend any more time than what you have already spent.

It isn't a question of being bitter. Rather, it is a question of surrounding yourself with people who will encourage and support you rather than wearing you down. anyone who doesn't treat you with respect, does not warrant the time and energy that you are expressing.
