At the last minute, the best advice I can think of is to answer the essay questions fully - even if you have no idea what you're talking about. Remember, you won't get negative points for bad answers ... but you won't get ANY points for no answer at all. So try your best! When worst comes to worst, try to relate the topic to a current event, or a book you've read.

Also remember that you get the same block of time whether you're attempting one section, or all three. So take your time. If you're attempting multiple sections, make sure to pass at least one of them (instead of spreading yourself too thin.) You can always repeat a failed section, so if you had to sacrifice one score in favor of the other(s), that might not be the worst idea.

If you need to repeat the test (or if you're not attempting the whole thing yet,) remember that there are great study guides out there for the CSET. Find yourself a good one; it will review the subject matter as well as test-taking strategies. One thing I remember from my studying is that "CSET authors will never say bad things about teachers or education." So if there is an article about teachers, and a question like "the author's tone is..." the answer is NOT going to be anything negative about teachers. Just a little something to keep in mind.

whatever you use to prepare (i used multiple books and a tutor)
never use teacherstestprep.com it doesnt even come close to the actual exam and is uncomplete anyway.
i graduated from high school 5 years ago and i needed some serious studying
but it is not impossible
remembering the several ways to solve the problem is important
same with thinking out of the box to solve a problem.
good luck!
