Well, ghost can engage in a form of intercourse, but it resembles intercourse the same way a glass of water resembles the atlantic ocean.
That is because ghosts are at a more fundamental level of energy. The 'restrictions' on them are different than humans, and this distinction shapes their ability to 'interact' with the physical world.
In other words, ghosts can move through walls because their energy structure isn't as rigidly controlled as a humans. So, while human intercourse is similar to that of two glasses of water rubbing against each other (spirit contained in the rigid structure of the glass) ghostly intercourse is more akin to two puddles of water coming together. While each and every molecule of the 'newly formed' puddle can be re-seperated again into the two distinct puddles, the interaction between the two is entirely more fluid and undiscernible.
Energy, any energy, can bond and/or meld with like energy.

Go rent the movie "The Entity" It is a 1970's movie that was based on actual events that happened to a woman and her children and is supposedly still happening today! It is one scary movie. The spirit was documented by (I believe) scientists from the University of California! If you do not believe now you WILL!
