No, and in fact, on the job in Vegas, the De Walt rep told us heat was the worst enemy of cordless equipmint. We started taking coolers with us filled with ice and put a tarp over the ice, the extra batteries on this, we found the batteries lasted a lot loner, had a longer shelf life.
The heat was up to 118 at times, inside temps once measured by a radio station on the inside of a car with black interior at 180 degrees, warped a policeman's resin baton, they had to leave the windows open to prevent plastic from melting and getting burned. Hard on batteries.

Yes, they will be fine. I live in a part of the country that reaches 120 degrees plus in the summer and if that doesn't kill the battery, nothing will.

Oh yeah it won't hurt them, i leave mine in back of my truck out in the middle of fields on hot days when plowing and they still work... (something broke down that's why).... and my truck is all black and I've never had any problems with them - well not yet lol... It might depend on the brand too, maybe..

No.
Extreme or wide swings in temperature will diminish batteries' over-all life and they only explode if your car is about 4,000 degrees.

Yes. Let me know where you park your car so I can break into it and steal them. Just kidding. My Makita drill stays in my trunk. It's fifteen years old and still works great.
