So, it took less time to eradicate Hitler/Nazi Germany, Mussolini and Hirohito from Europe, the Pacific, South-East Asia, Middle East, Mediterranean, and Africa, than the War in Iraq.

Money. There is huge profits being made on this war. The same thing happened in Viet Nam. If the war was won and ended, the profit would go away. So it must go on and on. Also, it divides the American people, so the Republicans and Democrats can remain in power.

You think we were out of Germany in 4 years? Might want to look that up.
All wars in history were economic. Japan attacked Pearl Harbor because of their designs on Indonesian oil. The US was blocking their attempt.

We're fighting this war like a bunch of pansies. We should have just gone and carpet bombed the whole country and turned it in to a walmart parking lot. Our troops are getting put on trial for murder. Every time we capture a leader, another one is in line to take his place. We are trying to "respect" the countries we're in by not bombing Osama Bin laden when we knew he was at a funeral and we had the chance to make it a double funeral. We're fighting an enemy who is willing to send people wearing bombs and blowing them selves up just to kill a few people. How do you fight people like that?
All should be fair in war.

Because it is not an actual conventional war, it is an occupation. As long as there is resistance, our troops will be there (which will be forever). They have to protect the oil pipelines and infrastructure and maintain a place to fight Iran from. Got it?
