When I met President Reagan I wore a pair of black shoes, very simple, but very well polished.
If it matters, I also wore a 3-piece, Black suit with a red tie. He liked it enough to comment.

I wouldn't wear any. I'd let that jerk know that there are a lot of people in this country and around the world who cannot afford to even wear a pair of decent shoes on their feet.

The same ones I wear every day. Just like I did when I shook hands with Jerry Ford all those years ago. The only difference is this time I would have to throw them out after. After I shove the right boot up his backside, that is. Damn fool signs his letters with a magic marker (I have a few) and the way he runs my country reflects it!

Bush- Honey, I would wear my muck boots straight from the barn, they are full of the same stuff he is ;)
