Can you use the Wii virtual console controller to play GameCube Games?

Yeah if you want to keep the niceness of wireless controllers get some Wavebird controllers for gamecube. I have them and they work great with the Wii. However to answer you question you do need the Gamecube controllers. In many cases you will need the "new" classic controller to play some of the older games, especially super nintendo games wehre you can use the gamecube but the button setup is so different many games are annoyingly hard to play correctly. Just play super mario world with a gamecube controller and youll see what I am talking about.

No, you use gamecube controllers and gamecube memory cards to play gamecube games on your Wii. They plug in under the flap on the left side when the Wii is lay down.

No, but if you have an old gamecube controller lying around somewhere, that will plug into your Wii and you can use that with your gamecube games, and you will actually be able to use the gamecube controllers for Super Smash Brawl too. Actually a good question, idk why some of you guys find it so stupid...

Not on gamecube, but can use gc controllers on the Wii.

no, gamecube games are not programed to use the controllers.
