Yes, they are. They out perform any domestic car or truck. You can see proof in how many older Toyotas and Hondas are still around and still in great condition. Hyundai is coming up to the very top too! They have a fabulous warranty, and put out excellent cars at great prices. I would only buy a Honda, Toyota, or a Hyundai.
Anyone who says Mercedes is a top rated car, must have never owned one. They look nice, are very expensive, but repairing them is very costly. I would never buy one ever again!!!

Split the answer this way - as far as gas milage - yes foreign countries like Japan and China don't depend on energy sources as much as we do because they either have solar power as does most of Japan or aren't as developed yet as is most of China so why do they acre about keeping gas saving cars on the road? Explaination - too many people have invested in these oil companies so if we drive 40-50 mile per gallon cars we don't sell as much oil. This is it in a nut shell! GREED!

Toyota is the best. Go Toyota. If you look at the traffic, what you will see is mostly Toyota and Honda.

You are most likely right. They are cheap and fuel efficient. But I'm a conservative, we like to drive American. Ford and Dodge all the way.
