What a pathetic performance on the field by the Indians on the 1st day

Is that what they call an international bowling attack? sheesh??

lousy on the field, lousy on maintaining some form of discipline in bowling...no wonder they've been such a chronic loser to good opponents with a vaunted batting lineup for the past decade and a half

they have a good batting lineup themselves but they don't do anything against quality opponents and in extreme clutch situations and in times when the TEAM NEEDS THEM THE MOST TO STEP UP....sachin and ganguly score hundreds against kenya, zimbabwe, bangladesh, etc ...all average teamns...not any quality game saving performances against teams like Australia or south africa or SRI LANKA FOR THAT MATTER

people don't want to see these guys scorch opponents and score 100s...juss a decent batting performance that shows some fight in them not only in batting but fielding as well...they've just gotten worse since the world cup

thoughts? comments?

It is really pathetic to see them play with lack of control, imagination and devoid of basics even after playing so many matches.
Our bowling attack had never been consistent and accurate. It is usual for our bowlers to struggle strike good line and length at the start and also to contain the tail.
Our selection also has not been good leaving out Pathan,Munaf and even agarkar for RP.Singh and two new comers for an away series.
Though they have recovered to some extent at the end, unless they understand the pitch and bowl with control they will suffer even at the hands of the tail enders.
Let us see how our batsmen perform under the conditions.

**** happen guys. Yes, it was bad fielding and aimless bowling but things could have bee worse. Tomorrow India will fight back and pack up England under 350 and score more. Then there will be rain and the first test match will end in a draw somehow.

With the present bowling attack of India, i do no longer think of that they might bowl out England two times. subsequently the probabilities of India prevailing the attempt sequence against England are very bleak. India would be fortunate in the event that they might shop the sequence by way of imposing attracts. in spite of the undeniable fact that, in ODI,India can defenitely look for a series win.

I fullly agree with you. In fact they left England off the hook by dropping Strauss earlier in the innings. India's bowling attack and fielding weakness have been totally exposed today. Let us wait and see how their much famed batting line up fare against England bowlers.
