Who is/was the ultimate metal/rock band? I think KISS and AC/DC and Pantera (RIP Dimebag) are some of the best! Opinions?

1. Black Sabbath - virtually created the genre
2. Iron Maiden - musical artistry -- took heavt metal to new heights as musicians
3. KISS - musical chameleons - Beth, "disco" phase - and New York Dolls' rip-offs with makeup, but popularity set amazing records.
4. AC/DC - phenominal live shows

i wouldn't quite evaluate Zep steel, inspite of the undeniable fact that they surely have been a potential. My order may be: a million. Iron maiden (7 marvelous albums how many bands can say that) 2. Judas Priest (marvelous vocalist and large songs and albums) 3. Black Sabbath (the pioneers of heavy steel some weaker albums yet allot of large albums! 4. Metallica: (reason they're final is via the certainty that they have got not made a marvelous album by using fact Justice, inspite of the certainty that there first 4 albums are astonishing)

Um, Black Sabbath pretty much created heavy metal.. You should be worshipping them.
AC/DC and KISS are alright.. I don't know.. I can listen to everything and anything Ozzy has ever done. I love it all. I have no favorite songs... AC/DC has a few songs that I like, just because they sound good..
With Ozzy, it's unconditional. He's all I listen to since I was little.

Pantera defintiely..Metallica before 1990..kiss was aight..ac/dc for a couple reasons..one being that they are from down under..and two there song were such simple loud anthems that no matter how drunk you are u can remeber the words..or grumble along and still sound great

wow, that is an extrememly hard question...
if i absolutly had to pick i would say Iron Maiden (in my opinion)
Black Sabbath would be next.
Thenn.... ACDC, Megadeth, Metallica, KISS, Pantera and.. judas preist......... they are all so close.
