Eviction. The mothball idea is good but you don't want to use them too long because they are toxic. I would augment the mothballs with ammonia-soaked rags and sprinklings of red pepper powder. Skunks are sensitive to smells (I know that may sound silly) and these things will greatly annoy them. Another thing is to place a radio near their den and play loud music during the day. Skunks are nocturnal and like to find a quiet, dark place to rest during the day. Hopefully all these things will aggravate them enough for them to say "screw it, let's find another place to live". You can also sprinkle some predator urine (wolf, fox, dog) or human pee (preferably a male) around the area.

If you kill it your house will stink like skunk for over two weeks (been there, had to live through it!). It gets into your clothes and everyone turns and looks at you.

Easiest way to evict skunks is to get a box of mothballs and a broom and get down there on hands and knees and stick the mothballs as far under the deck as possible. They'll have the smell and leave for a different place to live.

I love Elaine M's suggestion of mothballs. It's ingenious and I think worth a try - if nothing else, I'd love to know if it works. If not, please do not under any circumstances try to trap and move a family of skunks yourself. At least not if you're not ready to shave your head, burn your clothes and torch the car or truck you use to transport them. Call Animal Control! This is what your tax dollars pay for...

Try Elaine M.'s mothball idea first. If you have to kill them[make sure its legal in your area!] trap them in a squirrel trap baited with peanut butter then shoot them in the head with a 22. Be careful. Bury the carcass. Burn your clothes. Better yet hire someone else to get rid of them.

if animal control cant help, then ( i dont sugest this because other animals can get to it) put a dish of car antifreeze where the skunk can get to it...THIS WILL KILL ANY ANIMALS, SO ITS NOT A GOOD IDEA,but skunks, what are you gonna do?

you could always get a havahearttrap and cover it with a plastic bag and relese it in the woods somewhere. less smell on you property you know! set the trap with wet cat food they LOVE it! make sure the trap is covered with plastic garbage bags so it won't spray. it won't spray because it doesn't want to suffocate itself! lol good luck, hope you don't have to kill it!

Call your local animal control and get a humane trap bait it set it and call them when you catch them don't touch them but make sure the baby's and mom get out together. You may want to call animal control to physically remove them so the babies get out. You don't want them to die under there it will smell horrific. trust me it happened to me.
