It's simple. The more they "give" to people, the more people will vote for them in the future. They are creating a larger and larger class of people depending on government.

There is the rub, they don't want to take care of others, they want to take from the rich to give to themselves. (ie Tax the rich so THEY can get a tax break.)

Democrats can take care of themselves appropriately. They don't want to "take care of others"; they simply believe in the right thing to do. They believe it is moral and just to look out for the most unfortunate in our society, including the sick, elderly, poor, disadvantaged, disabled, underprivileged, unemployed, hungry and homeless.
I find it ironic that right-wing conservative Christians don't subscribe to such Good Samaritan beliefs. -RKO- 07/19/07

explain and give examples. General blanket statements are the mark of a troll and I would not think you would want to be one

That's a misconception poedacious, THEY don't want to take care of others. They want to raise the taxes on successful Republicans to give to the lazy. If THEY wanted to really help - THEY would start charities and leave taxes alone.
Democrats are using MY tax money to buy themselves votes and I'm mad as heck about it.
