What irks me is that anytime liberals do something they put a positive tone to it: Debate.
When Repubs do the same it is called by its real name: Filibuster.

The democrats admitted that even a 24 hour standoff would not get a bill passed and override a veto. They just wanted to draw attention to their position, so it looks like they DID accomplish their goal...
