The Panama Canal, my grandad broke his heart a few months ago, we found out after Xmas he had cancer and unfortunately couldn't receive the chemo that had been offered to him, he was told he'd have a few weeks, then a few months then his hopes were risen and they said a year. He ran a construction demolition skip hire co and we all worked together, he built the place up to be very succesful after 30 years and had no choice but to sell the business as no one could cope without him there. i remember the last time i walked into his office he was looking at one of his books, it was the panama canal, he said i would give my right arm to go there the place is fantasic, then he said actually i'd give my arms and legs to go there. it was heartbreaking knowing that he was planning to die and he wasn't ready as know one is. he knew he'd never see the place. He died in may and a will go to the panama canal with my children someday soon and fufill what he wanted to do

New Zealand for me - please! Can you arrange it - wave a magic wand?
Hope you get to India - if you saw the 'Jewel in the Crown' programmes, you would need to structure your trip carefully to see that stunning scenery - not sure where in India it is. I went to India one May - and some parts were hot and others really really cold - so definitely plan well!
