I always get stuck next to annoying people-- ALWAYS. I just bring my iPod with when I fly, and I tune them out.

Yes I once sat next to this woman on a flight from Philly to San Fran (6 hour flight)...well hear was the situation
A - she was in two seats because she was well over 250 lbs.
B - she sweated very easily so she smelled bad and all the A/C's were on (very cold)
C - she wanted to tell me her life story (was not exciting)
D - she was a smoker - she fidgeted a lot and smelled badly of cigarettes.
I coped by putting on my ipod and smelling my sweatshirt and luckily i was the window seat so i turned toward the window and smelled out as much as i could. I wanted to poke her because (and im not saying this to be mean im not a twig by a long shot) but i wanted to poke her and see if she would deflate she looked like a balloon. I couldn't complain because it was a full flight, but i did secretly spray perfume around her and me.

So I have this little electric box that when you press the button it makes random, really loud fartting noises. It fits in my jacket pocket. Yes this is SOOOO childish, The last time I flew to NYC I sat down and pretended to sleep. A few minutes in to the flight I would press the button everyso often. My the gf who went with me was hysterically laughing, she peed her pants!!!

I was 9 months pregnant, and these two French people sat on either side of me, and me in the middle. They started a heated argument over the top of me, I wasn't feeling well, and their argument made it worse...so I grabbed the sick bag and THREW UP! Needless to say, they stopped fighting! HA!

YES!! everything I pull out to enterain myself, I get the " ooooooooh what's that, I've never seen that b4. What's it do?" treatment. when I finally get bored and put it away, They insist on having a conversation with me. And if i don't get stuck with that type of person, i always get a very smelly obnoxious, rude person, who insists on voicing their opinions about everything, or their clearing there throat and coughing....etc. in a very disgusting way.....Anyways I hate that and i almost don't want 2 travel b/c of it!!!

Because of all the stuck up attitudes when flying mostly due to threats of terror I would be hesitant to take any action whatsoever. Nowdays all you gotta do is fart to be thrown off a plane and blacklisted or i guess they call it "no fly list"

No, but I know my daughter (when she was 2) and I were those annoying passengers. I could not get her calmed down and I was so tired and frustrated. Just before we landed - she fell sound asleep and I was sort of waiting for everyone to applaud __AND WAKE HER UP!

Yes.

I try to tune them out, but if they are unbearable or unreasonable, I address them myself- if they're still a**holes, then I ask the flight staff for help.
