History shouldn't judge anything, but reflect the facts.

We won't know until about 20 years. Everything hinges on Iraq now - and that is still in debate for long term implications.

Truman had pretty bad ratings and opinion, but in the long term managed to survive OK.

If Iraq goes further down the tubes then he'll be slammed. Too many dead. No idea where Bin Laden is or how to get him. Letting Kim Jong Il dictate to him won't be looked at well. Hurricane Katrina and "Good job Brownie" are definately not good. He'll be coming in pretty dang low on the Presidential totem pole. All he needs now is Cheney to get indicted and he will be sitting right on the bottom with Carter.

Probably a lot like Truman. Not well liked at the time. Did some unpopular things. Used the Military. Dropped the Bomb to end a War.....
Looking back though, he was right most of the time...

Depends how far away 'history' is when it considers him (assuming you mean W). Personally, I don't think he'll figure at all in 1,000 years' time. How many leaders can we name from 1007?
