i would hope the majority of people here know the story of "Charlotte's web". a spider knows how to read & write, & that saves a pig's skin.
but the more i think of it, the less it makes sense. i wouldn't keep a pig from his appointment with the butcher (& later my stomach) just 'cause an arachnid knows a few good words.
just the opposite, I'd capture the spider & sell it to some scientists to make a few bucks or so.
now you may think I'm cold hearted, but I'd say I'm a realist. protecting a porker from the chop block because a spider, NOT THE PIG IT'S SELF, can make words in a web is just stupid.
now if the PIG were to be able to spin a web with words in it, THEN I'll be impressed!
