Worse boss you've ever had?

1. This one Lt. Col in the USAF.

*Total jerk.

*Couldn't lead a pack of dogs to a B""Ch in heat in the next room.

*I was CONSTANTLY having to clean up the mess he made of our unit.

2. A slew of "administrators" in the public school system.

*Shortchanged the education of immigrant children (I had NO texts, supplies, etc.)

*Treated me like "the help" and acted as if I was a clueless alien from outer space.

**ALL of my suggestions were implemented within about 3-5 years.

*This one woman, a division head, did her best to make my life a living hell:

**I could do NOTHING right.

**She was/is sleeping with this absolutely INEPT teacher (a coach), and she did her best to cover up all of his indiscretions.

***Talking on the cellphone for HOURS at a time, while his students sat in neat rows for 1.5 hrs. out of a two hour period.

***Yelling at me for bringing my students in from the rain/cold, even though the rest of the staff had brought their students in.

**Allowing the rest of the staff to belittle me and yell (oh yeah, YELL) at me in front of the students.

**My students regularly outperformed the rest of the school in statewide mandatory fitness testing over the four years I was in this dept

*After I alluded to the admin. team that I would be looking into a "hostile workplace environment" suit, I was suddenly transferred out of that cesspool of a dept.

It's too bad that inept people get into positions of authority.

It's just another hurdle in life, I guess, to deal with unhappy/ dysfunctional people who victimize their subordinates.

The worst boss I ever had was actually two. A married couple who own the cafe I worked at. She is a diminutive Texas belle who is passive aggressive and totally insane. He is an ex boxer who has the worst temper ever and thinks that yelling is the only way to get through to you. Not to mention they have six cameras pointed at their employees which they watch on live web-cam and then call up and tell you not to be doing whatever it is you are doing. AND we had to wear denim tops and bottoms. In the summer. When it was scorching. Tucked in. So awfull.

My current boss is the worst yet also the best boss I've ever had. He gives me good raises every 6 months and good bonuses at the end of the year yet he is short tempered, constantly yells at us, puts us on a guilt trip every time we want time off from work, and is unhappy 90% of the time he's at work. I think he's under a lot of stress because he travels a lot and stuff and we are in party mode every time he leaves for his trip and when he comes back we want him to leave again. I'm getting sick of this see saw work environment.

I worked for a place called Gracom with is part of Graham Constriction it was a Bricklaying job and I worked my butt off for them being a bricklayer laborer and the boss could come up to me (With sweat dripping down my face cuz I worked so hard) and say I am not working hard and no matter what I did it was never good enough or he tried to put me down in some way. I think you have the worst so far

worst boss was when I got a job and was working like 60 or more hours a week and they knew I needed and liked the over time and then she just took me down to less then 30 hours a week. It was a gas station
I also had to clean every day and we were supposed to switch every day

a colonel in the service. tyrant, nit picker, @sshole. he got sent to korea, got in a fist fight with the korean chief of staff (no joke) and was asked to quietly retire. true story. total jerk from the word "go".
