I drive a Honda Concerto. I have noticed that the speedometer wavers (does not stay at one place) when the car is moving and makes a squeaky noise as it moves up and down. What could be wrong with it?

You have a kink in the cable to the speedometer. Just get it replaced.

Or the grease has dried up in the cable. It is possible to remove the cable and grease it. However, if the cable is kinked, then replacement is required.

you can grease the cable. but this is a hard job and has to use a special grease. your best option is just to replace it with a new one.
