It's the brand that is an H.....sorry I can't remember the name. Anyways, it starts beeping and it says F2.....does anyone know what this means?

If the H you can't remember is Hotpoint, an F2 code normally means it thinks the oven temp is exceeding 590 degrees or 615 degrees with the oven door in an unlocked state. This is due to the electronic oven control getting a very high resistance reading from the oven temperature sensor. Replacing the oven temperature sensor is suppose to fix the problem.

It means that it is time to get out the owners manual and read it. Somewhere in there will be the fault codes, and their explanations. good luck.

with ours it meant the thermostat that detects the oven temperature was bad
