i would think so . s/he is probably looking for bugs to know if they need to order a professional exterminator for you. they really do not care if you organize your canned goods in neat rows :-)

what are you being inspected for ? Is it a spot check to see if you are keeping the place in a good condition, or is it for a problem with the building like damp, over run with ants or other creepy crawlies, or is the landlord planning renovations.
I would guess he/she would have to for bugs or damp but if it is just to check out how you look after the place I wouldn't think so, that would be like going through your personal belongings. Have you had notification of this inspection as I would have thought if you have it would state on the letter what it was for. I'd have a good look at your tenancy agreement & see what that says, or if your in UK citizens advice will help you

Well, possibly. If the landlord notices a cabinet pulling away from the wall, he's going to want to look inside to see what is causing that.

Normally, they would not inspect cupboards if all looks OK from the outside of the cabinet.

Absolutely. The cupboards are her property. She can look through her property- especially if she is looking for roaches or pests. She can even move things away from the walls, as long as she leaves the stuff the way she found it. If you have something you don't want her to see- put it away and lock it so she doesn't have access to it. She is not entitled to snoop, but she can surely test batteries in smoke detectors, check appliances she has provided, look for cracks, damages, termites, etc...

What does your lease say they can do? There is an inspection clause in the lease which should spell out what you agreed to let them inspect.

Yes if you have something you don't want them to see put it in a bag but they can inspect all fittings and fixtures.
