I worked at walmart for 3 weeks, I had to give 2 weeks notice cause friend got me the job or I would have been there less than a week

Yes, for about a day while I was working my way through college. I wanted a brainless job so I could focus on school. It was humiliating and they are very anti-union. They told me that unionization was illigal. I was also told that what they had to offer for health care was through wal-mart itself (no major companies) and I would have to pay over 250 a month for it, just to see thier doctors in the south (great, I live in the north). And, I was told that I was in "meal break violation" for extending my break for more than the 10 minutes I was allowed. The boss there told me that I had to move my car out of the lot because my bumper sticker was offensive to him, and if I didn't, I would be towed. (working the over night shift, I have no idea who would have seen it) The bumper sticker was the name of my college. I moved my car alright, I quit.

no way, they give their employees a whole 10% off merchandise and they don't give them any discount on groceries. Isn't that ridiculous? I have a friend that works at Walmart. But if you're desperate it's a job!

Wal-Mart- in the bakery- it was the WORST job ever. I would never work there or somewhere like it again!!

Nope, but have friends that have worked there. They arent too pleased with their jobs either. Sometimes it would be a nice change from what I do now, but definately wouldnt pay me as much.
