I am currently playing Bet in oliver! who is Nancy's best friend. Nancy, is a prostitute. She wears a red dress, and is married to murderer Bill Sykes. Nancy, insits that she loves Bill, even though she knows deep down that he is a cruel, hard hated man. Oliver, comes to the pickpocet place with the Artful Dodger, and escapes. Fagin, tells Bill what happened and forces Nancy, to go after him. To cut the story short, in the end Nancy tries to save Oliver, and Bill murders her. Your director will propably make you sing "As long as he needs me" and make sure you sing it with alot of passion and make sure you act like you insist you are in love with him (Bill is who you are singing about) Good luck and please let me know how your audition goes!

There's a movie version of Oliver!. You might want to check that out for a little more.
