If you like Jump Jive an' Wail by Louis Prima (not Armstrong!), check out some Louis Jordan ( http://allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&sql=10:gzfqxqqgldke ). Other good popular jazz/R&B artists from the 50's include Fats Domino and Ray Charles (his early stuff).

There are many. "Earth Angel" "Great Pretender" "Only You"
"Why Don't You Believe Me", "My Love", sung by Joni James. the first three are from the original Platters.
I checked the Time Warner site, but they don't have any listed like they used to.
The For Your Enternainment stores carry a large assortment of 50s music.
Use their site:FYE and in their search box type 1950s music, hit go and they will come up.

on the rock n' roll part, you may not bypass incorrect with chum Holly, Elvis, Bobby Vee and Chuck Berry. (verify with Elvis which you're choosing '50s songs, inspite of the undeniable fact that, by using fact he did lots interior the '60s too.) on the rustic part, you like Bobby Helms, Hank Williams Sr., Eddy Arnold and probable Hank Thompson. straight forward Listening: The 4 Preps, Perry Como, The Ames Brothers and The turbines Brothers.
