The east coast is 5 hours behind Greenwich, England. International time zones as far as I've ever been aware are based on Greenwich Mean Time. So that means someplace in a time zone to the east of Greenwich comes before Greenwich in time (Cairo Egypt is +2 GMT) while any time zone to the west comes after (New York, New York is -5 GMT). This goes until you hit the International Date Line in the Pacific. So those of us in the US will be getting the book after folks in Britian and the rest of the UK.

No. If anything, the UK will get it before America. After all, London is GMT (Greenwich Mean Time) and the east coast of the United States is GMT-5.
In other words, when it's midnight in London it's only seven in the evening in New York and four in the afternoon in San Fransisco (GMT-8). See the link below for more time zones.

no due to time zones the uk gets it a few hours beforehand. It doesn't really matter to me though because i torented it and am on page 376.
