my friend are i fighting over whether x means hugs or kisses, i think it means kisses personaly... which is 'x' and which is 'o'

X means hugs. O means kisses.
Because XOXO means hugs and kisses-NOT kisses and hugs.
'Just my opinion though. Some people believe differently. :)

Since it's signed, "XOXO" and people always say, "Hugs and kisses" I would assume that X's are Hugs and O's Kisses.

I agree with angela b. When I was back in junior high school we used to make up different meanings for different letters just to shake things up. Oh, the good ol days.

You wrap your arms around a person. and a 'o' goes all the way around.
As for xXx- don that mean kisses? You never signed that? To be honest, I don know how I know that- I just do.

X's are definitely kisses. Why else would people put them in cards, letters etc? You wouldn't sign off a love note "cuddle cuddle cuddle" would you? NO! You sign off "all my love, XXX - kiss kiss kiss". It's obvious!
