Democrats or republicans?
How can we give these people a stepping stone to nurture a better future to buy a more secure home?

alangj - careful there. Libs get quick on the "abuse button" for comments and name calling like you just did to me.
I stated a very simple question and hoped to get a few good suggestions or advice.
If yo had to sell your spendy home or got it forecolsed on so you could buy a modular home... Doesn't stick to solving how to help bail these people out.

Wow... People think I'm biased? (Yes, I already know that) but, I've lived in a trailer so stop with the selective "hate" thinking against me. lol

Democrats.. and we shouldn't be GIVING them ANYTHING.
THAT's what got them into the fix their in in the first place.
They need to realize.. when their stomachs get empty or they can't buy their next pack of cigarettes... that they need to get out there and WORK for what they get.
A house is something decent hard working people work for, not sign up to get.
Geez

Kindly show me where our constitution or Bill of Rights says a more secure home is anyones right. It doesn't. This is America, anyone is free to be as poor or make as much money as they can. There is not a finite amount of money, the rich do not have to give up anything for the poor to prosper. And these people are not less fortunate.
"To imply that one person is homeless, destitute, dirty, drunk, spaced out on drugs, unemployable, and generally miserable because he is "less fortunate" is to imply that a successful person - one with a job, a home and a future - is in that position because he or she was "fortunate." The dictionary says that fortunate means "having derived good from an unexpected place." There is nothing unexpected about deriving good from hard work. There is also nothing unexpected about deriving misery from choosing drugs, alcohol, and the street." *
It is a fact that poor, densely populated urban areas are generally democratic, as are most union workers.

Maybe you're not aware that many retired people live in mobile homes? If I'm not mistaken, I believe it's the older Americans who vote in larger percentages than other age groups. Are you sure you want to insult this voting block?

Who cares. A roof over someones head beats the hell out of a cardboard box. This seems extremely judgemental.

I know a lot of great people who happen to live in trailers.
What is the deal with bashing people just because they have less money?
