Read the following article from the LA Times' blog for more information about Oprah's support for Obama:

It's all about MONEY.

It means she has a schoogirl crush on him and she's all excited and has passed notes to him in class already, pointing out that their names both begin with "O" and have an "a" in them as well. She thinks it's too cosmic to be a co-incidence!, and has started sending him flowers and free limo rides to see her taping her TV show, but Barack has declined the invitation, but she still keeps calling on the phone all the time, and texting him, and Mrs Obama is getting very upset!
Now Oprah's busy writing a book about their new love
called "O", you Di'int!" AND she's going to reccommend it on her bookclub, and it can sell a million copies, so she can give
the money to Obama's campaign.....and he's very nervous..
'coz you don't say NO to "O"!...any suggestions?

I think she wants a black President so she is helping raise money for his campaign. She obviously thinks he would be good too. I sadly disagree (sorry Oprah)

She's going to host a fund raiser for him, did anyone expect anything else?

I would assume they mean she is in favor of him being President, and I don't think it's a race issue with her. I think she sees good and valuable qualities in the man and is willing to go to bat for him.
